How booking works
Plain-English terms. Your contract is with Shanghai Donghong International Travel Agency, licensed travel agency no. TODO-LICENSE-NUMBER.
1. Ask and get a quote
Message us with your dates and group size. We confirm availability and send the itinerary and price per person. For open departures the price is already on the website.
2. Pay a 30% deposit
We send a PayPal invoice in US dollars. Paying the deposit confirms your place. You can pay by card through PayPal; you do not need a PayPal account.
3. Send your details and insurance
We ask for passport details (needed for tickets and guesthouse registration in China), emergency contact, any health conditions, and proof of travel insurance that covers trekking to the highest altitude on your trip and emergency evacuation.
4. Pay the balance 45 days before you start
For bookings made less than 45 days before the start date, the full amount is due at booking.

Open departures that don't fill
An open departure is guaranteed once 4 people have booked. If it has fewer than 4 people 45 days before the start, you choose: switch to a private trek and pay the difference, move to another date, or receive a full refund of everything you have paid.
Weather, roads and closures
Mountain roads in Southwest China can close after heavy rain, and access to some areas can change at short notice. If that happens, your leader will reroute to a safe alternative of similar standard. Your safety comes before the itinerary.
