Four days from Lijiang. Two days on the High Trail above one of the world's deepest gorges, a night in a family guesthouse on the trail, and time in Lijiang's old town.
Who it’s for: anyone who walks regularly and is comfortable with a few hours of steep uphill. No altitude problems for most people, as the highest point is about 2,670 m.
Your leader speaks fluent English, has walked the gorge many times, and carries a first-aid kit and pulse oximeter. A local driver meets you at the airport and moves your bags along the gorge.

Itinerary
Day 1Arrive in Lijiang
Airport pickup and check-in. An evening walk through Lijiang old town, then dinner and a trek briefing with your leader.
Day 2Qiaotou to Halfway via the 28 Bends
A two-hour drive to Qiaotou, then onto the High Trail. Climb through farmland to lunch at the Naxi Family Guesthouse, tackle the 28 Bends, and contour along the gorge to Halfway Guesthouse.
Day 3Tina's and Middle Tiger Leaping Stone
An easy morning past waterfalls to Tina's Guesthouse, then the steep path down to the rapids at Middle Tiger Leaping Stone and back. Afternoon drive back to Lijiang.
Day 4Baisha and departure
A slow morning in Baisha village beneath Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, then transfer to Lijiang airport.
